Location

We will gather on a beautiful private ranch just about 15 minutes outside the charming town of Markleeville.

To protect the land and keep this experience intimate and special, the exact address will be shared only with ticket holders. Once you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive all the details you need to join us.

Camping or RV

Enjoy camping on our private ranch, where the night sky comes alive with stars and the quiet surroundings offer a true escape from the noise of everyday life. Our meadow provides plenty of flat, open space for you, your family, or your crew to spread out and settle in. We encourage you to bring a pop-up canopy or other shade structure (not allowed in stage areas), as camping takes place in the open meadow.

We provide port-o-potties, handwashing stations, and potable drinking water. We do not provide showers or electricity at RV sites or campsites. Note: Camping is not included with your festival pass and must be purchased seperately.

Food & Drink

You can bring your own food, and beer/wine and non-alcoholic beverages. However, we highly encourage people to patronize the food vendor and bar that will be available on site during the event. There will be vegetarian and vegan options as well. We provide potable water and encourage you to bring a refillable cup or water bottle. We highly recommend staying hydrated in higher elevations.

Cooking In Your Camp

You’re welcome to cook using a small gas camp stove, but it must follow these guidelines:

  • 🔥 Stove must be elevated at least 2 feet off the ground

  • 💧 You must have water or a fire extinguisher at your campsite at all times

  • 🪵 No charcoal, wood-burning devices, or ground fires

A simple folding camp table (like a standard 4–6 ft portable table) works perfectly to safely elevate your stove while cooking.

We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep the land safe so we can continue gathering here for years to come.

Weather Insights

Woollystar sits at 5,600 feet elevation, where mountain weather can shift throughout the day. Expect warm, sunny afternoons and cool evenings. In June, average daytime temperatures range from 70–80°F, with overnight lows dipping to 40–55°F.

While rain is not common that time of year, brief showers are always possible in the mountains.

We recommend checking the forecast before you arrive and planning ahead. Layers are your best friend at this elevation!

Family Friendly

Woollystar is an all-ages gathering, and we truly love seeing families come out and experience the magic together. Over the years, many kids have had an amazing time dancing, exploring, and soaking up the music. While the entertainment isn’t specifically geared toward children, our bands and film selections are generally kid-friendly. We also offer discounted tickets for guests under 18, and little ones under 2 are welcome to attend for free.

That said, please remember that this is a working ranch set in a natural environment. For everyone’s safety, all guests under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. We appreciate your help in keeping the weekend safe, respectful, and fun for all ages.

Dogs

We know many of you love bringing your four-legged companions along, and dogs are welcome to join the fun! 🐾

To keep things safe and enjoyable for everyone (and all the animals on the ranch), dogs must be:

  • Kept on leash at all times

  • Non-aggressive and well-socialized

If a dog shows aggressive behavior, you may be asked to remove them from the event. Lastly, we ask that you clean up after your dog's waste.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, respectful environment for all guests & two-legged and four-legged
